Ready to Defend

The term is “apologetics” and it has nothing to do with apologizing but has everything to do with defending.

Webster defines it this way.. : “a branch of theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin and authority of Christianity”.

Any way you think of it it’s about defending your Bible belief.

1 Peter 3:15 ESV “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect,”

An important part of being prepared to make a defense is to immerse yourself in God’s Word..

2 Timothy 2:15 KJVS “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

The short answer for the reason for your hope is simply…Jesus Christ!
